Requirements/Miscellaneous Information:

-If work kamper is wanting to return the next year, they will have the first opportunity to renew their site again for the next year by signing another 5 month work kamper contract.
-We will give priority to “couples” interested in the position.
-If work kamper is short of hours within the 5 month period, work kamper will be responsible to reimburse Pete’s Retreat Family Campground and RV Park a portion of their free seasonal site cost at a rate of $10 per hour that they are short, or stay later in the season if weather allows, to help close down to fulfill your hours.
-If work kamper chooses to vacate their site before the season is over, the work kamper will be responsible to pay the pro-rated site cost for the remaining days in the year ($18.63 per day) as a penalty for breaking the 5 month work kamper contract.
-Work kamper must have a camper that is less than 10 years old (as that is a current seasonal site requirement in our park) and in overall good shape. Fifth wheels, travel trailers, or ice fishing houses allowed. No motorhomes, pop up trailers, or tents allowed as a seasonal camper.
-Work kampers must be 21 years of age or older.
-Pets are allowed.
-Background checks required.
-A non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to hold your work kamper site. This deposit will be released to you after two weeks into your obligation at Pete’s Retreat Campground as a full refund.

-It is required that a Debit/Credit Card be saved to the work kampers account for contract purposes.
-Pete’s Retreat Family Campground and RV Park reserves the right to terminate a work kamper contract and/or free campsite agreement at any time for any reason, with penalties as listed above.
-Pay days are bi-weekly on Friday’s.
-If none of these work agreements work for you, Pete’s Retreat would be willing to negotiate a custom work kamper agreement before a contract is signed. Example, maybe you cannot start until mid May. Or maybe you can only work 15 hours per week. Or maybe you don’t want to earn a wage and would rather get a free seasonal site and a credit added to your Pete’s Retreat account. We can be flexible but this must be discussed before a contract is signed.

To apply, please fill out our application below. We will then contact you to schedule a time to complete an interview either in person or via google meet.

Thank you!
